I think you best bet would be to put both the raspberries and lime juice in the secondary after you rack it. I also recomend upping the raspberries to 3 pounds for a better flavor. WebAnd for dry, add 2.75 cups of sugar. Let the mixture simmer for 15 minutes on the stove, until the raspberries and sugar turn into liquid. Let the mixture cool until it reaches slightly above room temperature. Strain the raspberry mash with a cheesecloth or other filter. Try to remove most of the pulp and skin.

My plan was to make about 1 quart of juice to add after fermentation, and add some (not sure how much) to the mead at the beginning. I should mention I will be making a 6 US gallon batch.
